Why am I getting a call from. So called attorney stating I owe ATI 2500 from when I attended and graduated in 2011 and I got a fed student loan, now they are treating to garnish my wages if I don't pay them... how does this make sense...

Preferred solution: Zero out any debt that they say I have since they got paid by the student loan I received. I owe nothing.

I got a call today about owing them money too when in really I paid them in full back in 2010 when I graduated. How did you guys deal with this?

attended respiratory school, graduated, was told I owed money, had all my doc, am a veteran so the money they sent to ATI was traceable - The school was under investigation by one of those Media / News investigative people who eventually turned them into the state. The state eventually found enough evidence to shut that school down. ATI still trying to say I owe them money. If I cannot walk into a school that they said I would be able to do in order to practice, practice, practice on Vents, etc because they are closed then they can eat you know what and die when it comes to anything those people are talking about. How in the world are they trying to collect money when they are in breach of their own contract? The instructors were having sex with the students, instructors were getting arrested and charged with actual crimes for having sex with students, the other instructors barely knew anything about respiratory care, most only had an associates degree and treated the students like crap, a couple of instructors did not know how to intubate. It was terrible. I did obtain my RRT with the State, BLS, and ACLS in the end. I am so glad that school is shut down. Its a couple of other vocational for-profit schools that need to shut down also just because these jokers are charging 40+K for a subpar education.

I went to ATI North Richland Hills TX for the MST(motorcycle service technician) program, they told me I would be getting a big roll away tool box and job placement assistance. Got none of that, AND a huge loan debt plus they double charged me and took 3 years of my tax returns equaling OVER $30,000. Didn't get my certifications, my toolbox, or a job in my field. I took a HUGE hit to my credit! At this point i don't even care about the tools or even the money, I just want it taken off of my credit report!

Same, in 2004 I enrolled for Dental Assisting. Was told I would have externship and job placement.

And was supposed to have hands on lab equipment that turned out to be photo copied papers. Halfway through they told me I would need to sign a check over to them. Then when I refused because the check was pay to the order of me, they all the sudden wouldnt let me take my finals and never found an externship for me. So $6000 in loans and they took $4384 in 2012.

Although I was in process of consolidation since they had ruined my credit. Somehow they claim I still owe $7000?

I attended Ati 2010 - **** "graduated" for the MA program I never received my degree! Now I am being garnished for the school loans which I should never have to pay! Ati closed completely I never seen or heard anything again about my certificate! Long story short the school is still involved in my life till this day.

Back in 2006-07 I attended ATI looking to obtain training in business and accounting. After the first week of attendance people were dropping like flies. Then they started firing teachers left and right. I didn't understand but I assumed it was common or something. But when I finished and they said I didn't attend my classes like I said I blew up and knew I should have paid attention before. They told me to put I was married to my child's father at the time. Knowing I wasn't they were persistent in getting us into school. I never saw any of my student loan money not even a hint of the check. Now I'm stuck paying over$13,000 in loans. It's not fair when I can't do anything with a business certificate but I'm paying back all this money. I was young and bamboozled and they knew it but didn't care. If they were proven scammers we all should get our debt erased.

So if you are saying you put that you were married when YOU KNOW YOU WERE NOT how can you say that you were cheated and now have to pay all this money back when you were the one cheating to get the money? Now the school was worthless I agree with you, however, you still did things right with them and that is why you are stuck paying over 13k

ATI Miami scam

Went to ATI Miami in 2010. They promised 90 percent hire from graduation..no jobs. Biggest part is that I would not get value from the school because of my background. When I was younger made a couple mistakes..but they signed me up asap and said it was ok. Me being naive to this signed up. They signed me up very quickly. Now I have already applied for student loan forgiveness and waiting for approval. But that School is so wrong and did this to so many people just to make a buck without regards to any person and their families.

Teacher was clueless. They used some of the grant money for profits and not the education!! Class action lawsuits going on. The Department of Justice has forced them to pay back tons of money they stole. But we, the students still owe the money??? Im going to start a website/youtube page, twitter, etc exposing this part of it.

I went to ATI College of Health during 2011-**** and when I graduate they informed that my diploma and all the certifications were been process they will get to me by mail. I called the facility several times and they say that my papers where been a little delay. Now more than a year has passed and I find out that the school close and I don't any proof of my study other than the debs-pretty sure I'm not the only one, if you have any other information where can I turn for advise or legal back up please contact me ro.si.89@***.com. I'm so worry.

I went to this school for 18 months, I had some of the high grades in my class. After I graduated I had found a job on my own so I didnt need there as they said ( life time ) job placement, 6 months later I was out of a job, so now I have been out of work for around 90 days. ATI was chased out of my state of TX for filling false paper work with my state about there job placment numbers. So now I have no one to contact for help or anything. So after this I will be talking to the fed loan dep. to see about getting them shut down every where so no one else gets left with $20000 in loans for nothing useable

I studied the Automotive program at ATI in Waco Texas. This is by far the worst program they have. Our program lead Mr. Mcknight had no clue or knowledge what so ever. He tried to charge us money to use fluids which was stopped by a school offical. He had us strip a car that he said ATI didnt want anymore. He said that he would spilt the money up and give it to the Top 3 students in the program. He kept the money all to himself. He then charged us money to bring are car in on the weekends to work. This guy is a conman. We complained to a school official several times but he said it was out of his hands and to file a complaint with the Director of the school. DONT GO TO THIS SCHOOL!!!!!
